Our client SAVANNAH ACCELERATED DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (SADA) is an independent agency mandated by the Government of Ghana to coordinate a comprehensive development agenda for the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone of Ghana. To achieve the agenda of promoting sustainable economic and social development, eradicating poverty, and improving quality of life, SADA seeks experienced professionals to join its senior management team.

Your role:
Reporting to the Director, Integrated Development Programmes, the Coordinator will be responsible for managing the rapidly developing mining sector in the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone, and leading the integration of mining and other natural resources development within the overall SADA strategy and investment program

Duty Location: Tamale and the Northern Savannah Area


Required Skills or Experience

Minimum of Masters degree in Engineering, with Mineral Exploration, Mineral Economics or Engineering Geology, Environmental Management, Business Management, Industrial Development or related field
Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in community development, industrial development, capacity building and youth development; 5 of which should be at senior management level
Experience in working with mining associations and other related service organisations
Knowledge of national and international mining and environmental protection laws,
Experience in working with key stakeholders including NGOs, civil society groups and traditional authorities.
Candidates must be literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
